A house with a second life. Reworked.
JOHAN° is a small house in Marlengo near Merano, thoughtfully reimagined from a place that was already run with great care. Instead of rebuilding, we chose to evolve it step by step – keeping its core while gently changing how it feels. Existing structures meet new materials: fabrics, custom-designed artwork and selected vintage-style lighting. The atmosphere shifts, but the origin remains. It is not about creating a perfectly polished design concept, but about finding a balance between what was there and what feels right today. Calm, simple and timeless. Some pieces were found at flea markets and upcycled, others newly combined or reworked. Nothing feels too uniform – and that is exactly what makes the rooms special.
At JOHAN°, things are intentionally uncomplicated. Less of a traditional hotel, more space for an easy, relaxed stay. If you are looking for stylish rooms with breakfast near Merano, you will find a place to arrive, slow down and stay for a while.

The rooms at JOHAN° are intentionally reduced. Wood, textiles and warm light create an atmosphere that feels calm and never overloaded. Each room is designed to feel effortless: good beds, clear shapes and enough space to arrive.
There is no decorative excess, but a thoughtful balance between material and space. Everything has its place – nothing feels too much.
Whether for a weekend or a few days more, the rooms offer exactly what you need to slow down and come to rest.
