JOHAN° is a small house with 20 rooms and breakfast near Merano. Created from an existing hotel, it has been reimagined with a focus on good design, calm spaces and simple processes. It is not a traditional hotel, but a place for an uncomplicated stay.

JOHAN° is located in Marlengo near Merano in South Tyrol. The old town is just a few minutes away, while the house itself stays calm and quiet.

Check-in is handled digitally. Before your arrival, you will receive all the information you need to arrive flexibly and access your room on your own. At certain times, the reception is staffed, so you can also check in the traditional way if you prefer.

Yes, but not a traditional 24-hour reception. If no one is on site, we are always reachable by phone. The house is intentionally calm and uncomplicated. 

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house – including in the living room for work or longer stays.

Arrival is possible from 2 pm. You will receive all the details for your arrival before your stay.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your pet. We charge an additional fee of €20 per night.

Things don’t always go as planned. If you need to cancel your stay at JOHAN°, please inform us in writing as soon as possible. Cancellations are free of charge up to 14 days before arrival. If you cancel between 14 and 7 days before arrival, we will retain your deposit. For cancellations made 6 days or less before arrival, as well as in case of no-show, late arrival or early departure, the full amount will be charged.

After your booking is confirmed, we kindly ask for a deposit of 30% of the total stay. The remaining amount will be charged 7 days before arrival. We accept payments by credit card or bank transfer. The local tourist tax is €3.20 per person per day (from 14 years onwards).

Yes, breakfast is included and served on the buffet in the living room in the morning. In good weather, you can of course also enjoy it in the garden.

Yes. The living room offers quiet spaces to work, and the overall atmosphere makes it easy to combine work and stay. You can even take one of our wine barrels in the garden and use it as a quiet spot to work.

No. Instead, there is a drinks and snack machine available at all times. Within a few minutes’ walk, you will find several restaurants nearby. The town of Merano, with many great culinary options, is also just a short drive away.

Yes, there is an indoor pool and a small sauna available for you.

Yes, there is a small, functional gym available.

No. The wellness areas are small and intentionally reduced. They complement the stay, but are not the focus here.

Yes, one parking space per room is included in the rate. Depending on availability, parking is available in our underground garage or around the house. There are plenty of spaces.

No, rooms are not cleaned daily by default. We believe this is not always necessary and is also more considerate of the environment. If you are staying longer and would like fresh towels or a light cleaning in between, just let us know.

Yes, you can store your bike in our underground garage and secure it with your own lock. JOHAN° is a great starting point for your rides – whether you’re into mountain biking, road cycling or gravel.

Yes, it can get quite warm around Merano, so all rooms are equipped with air conditioning.

Please note that smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the house or in the rooms. You are of course welcome to smoke on your balcony or in the garden.
